Dr. Katherine Smith
Dr. Smith grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she received her bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She earned her Medical Doctorate at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Smith completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech in Lubbock where she was recognized as Outstanding Resident in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and received the award for compassionate patient care.
After growing up spending summers in Austin with family, Dr. Smith fell in love with the city. She is delighted to have the privilege of walking through life with the women of Austin while practicing at St. David's Medical Center. Dr. Smith is passionate about caring for women throughout life's various stages. She believes in creating a comfortable environment for patients that fosters a sense of trust. She desires to help patients feel understood, valued, and informed.
Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, taking Pilates classes and walking her golden retriever, Finley.
